OIL

FINISH

Oil finish is absorbed by the wood and nourishes, sustains, and protects from the inside-out. It provides a low profile sheen that highlights the natural characteristics of the wood. We use the highest quality wood oils imported from Germany which ensure long-term protection and authenticity. Wood oils are commonly used on Danish Modern furniture such as designs by Hans Wegner, Finn Juhl, Arne Vodder, Kofod Larsen and many more.

SOAP

FINISH

On lighter wood species such as ash, beach, and oak soap finish is the preferable finish. To apply the soap finish; natural white soap flakes are combined with luke-warm water, carefully applied, and finely sanded once it dries to finish the treatment. As an entirely natural product the soap finish has zero environmental disadvantages. The soap finish treatment makes the woods more resistant to dirt and leaves the wood looking indistinguishable to before the treatment.

SOLID

LACQUER

Solid lacquer is a fully painted solid color finish which completely covers the wood grain and provides a hard and smooth protection layer. Solid lacquer finish is offered in matte, satin and gloss finishes. This ideal finish is commonly seen on designs by Paul McCobb, Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner, and more.
